The ability to fetch, classify and interrelate the perceptible elements captured by cameras is the link between our global net of cameras and the Artificial Intelligence. In order to make pictures understandable by machines, these have to be reduced to atomic describable concepts like points, lines or ellipses. Straight line segments are frequently found in captures of man made environments. This memory goes through straight line segment matching between images and the other operations leading to the creation of the line based 3D representations of the captured scenes or objects.engAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internacionalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Line matching3D abstractionStructure-From-MotionMaterias::Investigación::12 Matemáticas::1203 Ciencia de los ordenadores::120321 Sistemas de navegación y telemetría del espacioMaterias::Investigación::33 Ciencias tecnológicas::3304 Tecnología de los ordenadores::330499 Visión por computadoraFrom line matching to 3D abstractiondoctoral thesisopen access
