Due to their ability to participate in cycloaddition reactions they constitute privileged platforms for the convergent synthesis of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons with potential applications in nanotechnology. This dissertation collects the authors contributions to the development of novel heteroaryne and polyarynes, and the study of the generation and reactivity of these reactive species. Furthermore, the preparation of particular arenes by using bisarynes is included, as a demonstration of the strength of aryne-based synthetic strategies.engAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internacionalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ArynePAHnanographeneMaterias::Investigación::23 Química::2306 Química orgánica::230602 Hidrocarburos aromáticosMaterias::Investigación::23 Química::2306 Química orgánica::230610 Compuestos heterocíclicosMaterias::Investigación::23 Química::2306 Química orgánica::230603 Derivados del bencenoDevelopment of novel arynes and application to the synthesis of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbonsdoctoral thesisopen access
