Con este fin compararemos o seu pensamento político co dos principais teóricos do nacionalismo galego, empregando para elo as categorías e conceptos que manexa a Teoría Política no estudo dos nacionalismos. Do mesmo xeito trataremos de apuntar aqueles elementos que se van configurando como hexemónicos no pensamento nacionalista galego en canto a súa teoría política da nación e a súa estratexia mobilizadora ao longo dos séculos XIX e XX, e determinar en que medida o pensamento de Ramón Piñeiro constitúe unha teoría política e unha estratexia enmarcadora diferenciada.From the perspective of Political Theory, the author of this work seeks a synthesis of the political thought of Ramón Piñeiro López, trying to systematize his main political ideas and determine his political theory of the nation. To this end, we will compare his political thought with that of the main theorists of Galician nationalism, using the categories and concepts used by Political Theory in the study of nationalisms.
