AB El objetivo de este artículo es abordar las conexiones entre ciudadanía y familiadesde una perspectiva filosófico-político feminista. Partiendo de que las relaciones degénero son ineludibles en la reflexión sobre laciudadanía democrática, se pone de relieve lanaturaleza política de la institución familiar. Se centra en el conflicto entre familia yCiudad para examinar los problemas de laciudadanía de las mujeres. Se consideran lospretextos y ficciones que operan en las configuraciones históricas y teóricas de la ciudadanía, en la exclusión/inclusión de las mujeres.Se concluye que es necesario repensar y articular, política y conjuntamente, familia yCiudad, en el contexto de los nuevos retos dela ciudadanía democrática en un mundo globalizado y multicultural.
AB The objective of this paper is toaddress the connections between citizenshipand family from a Political PhilosophicalFeminist point of view. Assuming that genderrelationships are essential to any analysis ofdemocratic citizenship, the paper highlightsthe political nature of the family institution.Thus, we focus on the conflict between family and City in order to discuss the problemsof women’s citizenship. We also consider thepretexts and fictions which are at work in thetheoretical and historical configurations ofcitizenship for the exclusion/inclusion ofwomen. We conclude with the idea that it’snecessary to rethink family and City connecting them together and politically, in the context of the new challenges of a democraticcitizenship in a globalized and multiculturalworld.
