AB En este artículo, se revisan las experiencias deresinación desarrolladas en Galicia desde la década de los50 a los 70, basándose en publicaciones y en el estudio deantiguos documentos rescatados del Instituto Forestal deInvestigaciones y Experiencias (IFIE). Los documentosrecopilados resumen los ensayos de investigaciónrealizados en Galicia que en primer lugar, pueden servir debase para facilitar las futuras investigaciones sobreresinación que se realicen en el noroeste de la PenínsulaIbérica, y en segundo lugar, aportar unos primerosfundamentos que permitan desarrollar una selvicultura quecompatibilice la extracción complementaria de resina con elaprovechamiento de la madera en el pino pinaster enGalicia
AB In this article, first experiences in resin productionbetween the ‘50s and the ‘70s in the northwestern Spanishregion of Galicia are reviewed. This report is primarily basedon the study of publications and old documents retrievedfrom the IFIE –the Spanish Forestry Institute of Researchand Experience, which outline the researches conducted inGalicia. The review of these articles can, on the one hand,facilitate future researches that could be carried out in thenorth-west of the Iberian Peninsula. On the other hand, itmay also provide the initial basis for the development of asilviculture that makes supplementary resin tappingcompatible with the logging of maritime pine in Galicia
