Most of this work was performed on the LHCbexperiment. At rst, I was involved in the installationand commissioning of the Silicon Tracker (ST) detector. The ST is a silicon micro-strip detector which provides precise momentummeasurements of ionizing particles coming from the collisions. Afterwards I joinedthe VErtex LOcator (VELO) upgrade project in the research and development ofnew sensor technologies for the LHCb upgrade.
