RT Dissertation/Thesis T1 Thromboelastographic Analsysis of Hemostatic Abnormalities in Domestic Animals A1 Vilar Saavedra, Paulo K1 Carcinoma K1 Greyhounds K1 Thromboelastography K1 Hemangiosarcoma AB We evaluated the canine and equine hemostasis in a variety ofpathophysiological conditions. We hypothesized that dogs with carcinoma and visceral hemangiosarcoma (vHSA)would have coagulopathies. Likewise, coagulopaties would be observed in Retired Racing Greyhounds (RRG)undergoing surgery and in horses with intestinal pathologies among others. Our objective was to describehemostatic abnormalities by using Thromboelastography (TEG). Results described hypercoagulability andDisseminated Intravascular Coagulopathy in dogs with carcinomas and vHSA respectively. RRG trend tohypocoagulate compared to other breeds. Hemostatic alterations resulting in vascular fibrin deposits in horses donot correlate with TEG parameters nor with fibrin detection methods (i.e, PTAH, IHC) YR 2020 FD 2020 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10347/24362 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10347/24362 LA eng DS Minerva RD 23 abr 2026
