AB This paper examines the evolution of local organizative framework of Gallaecia between the3rd and 5th centuries, determining certain transformations of the municipium settled since theprevious centuries and contextualizing them in the analogous evolution of the contemporaryWest. Finally it is stressed the apparent post-Roman permanence of the basic structure of thisorganizative regime
