AB Este estudo aborda a relação entre o Turismo Consciente e o Turismo de Base Comunitária, considerando as implicações entre estes conceitos e o desenvolvimento de atividades envolvendo a comunidade de Foz do Iguaçu. O objetivo deste estudo é analisar as implicações do turismo consciente para o desenvolvimento do Turismo de Base Comunitária – TBC, no destino turístico de Foz do Iguaçu. Para isso, identifica os conceitos do TBC, apresenta as bases teóricas do Turismo Consciente e descreve a relação entre a consciência do turista e a realização do turismo de base comunitária em Foz do Iguaçu. Os resultados obtidos com informações digitais da Secretaria Municipal de Turismo de Foz do Iguaçu apresentam alguns exemplos de atividades de turismo comunitário desenvolvidos na região com a intenção de desenvolver a economia de base e envolver a comunidade local que se torna invisível diante do turismo de massa. Conclui-se que a formação de profissionais comprometidos em desenvolver o turismo consciente contribui para estabelecer medidas preventivas de impactos ambientais para preservar o meio ambiente e a cultura local.
AB This study addresses the relationship between Conscious Tourism and CommunityBased Tourism, considering the implications between these concepts and the development ofactivities involving the community of Foz do Iguaçu. The objective of this study is to analyze theimplications of conscious tourism for the development of Community Based Tourism - TBC, inthe tourist destination of Foz do Iguaçu. For this, it identifies the concepts of TBC, presents thetheoretical bases of Conscious Tourism and describes the relationship between touristawareness and the realization of community-based tourism in Foz do Iguaçu. The resultsobtained with digital information from the Municipal Secretary of Tourism of Foz do Iguaçupresent some examples of community tourism activities developed in the region with theintention of developing the basic economy and involving the local community that becomesinvisible in the face of mass tourism. It is concluded that the training of professionals committed to developing conscious tourism contributes to establishing preventive measures of environmental impacts to preserve the environment and local culture.
