RT Dissertation/Thesis T1 Proton-Induced Fission and Spallation Reactions in Inverse Kinematics: Insights from CALIFA Calorimeter Reconstruction A1 García Jiménez, Gabriel K1 Detectores K1 Fisión K1 Knockout K1 Simulación AB This thesis work focuses on investigating proton-inducedreactions on ²³⁸U in inverse kinematics, taking advantage of theR³B/ SOFIA setup. Nuclear fission was induced after knockoutprocesses, with scattered nucleons being analyzed usingthe CALIFA calorimeter. Innovative reconstruction algorithmswere developed for CALIFA to extract the process'sexcitation energy through an invariant mass approach whichwas then correlated with fragment charge yields andcompared with theoretical models across various physics modelconfigurations. Furthermore,cross-sections for spallationfissionand spallation-evaporation channels were measured. Theobtained data demonstrate good agreement withprevious measurements and theoretical calculations.
