AB O obxectivo deste traballo é o estudo dos códigos alxebraico-xeométricos dendeunha dobre perspectiva. Por un lado, introdúcense as nocións fundamentais da Teoríade Códigos que permiten entender o papel que desempeñan estes na comunicación e anecesidade de construír códigos que, coa mínima redundancia posible, teñan a capacidadede corrixir un gran número de erros. Por outra banda, preséntanse os conceptos básicos decurvas alxebraicas que permiten a construción dos códigos baixo estudo, partindo da ideada xeralización dunha familia de códigos clásica.
AB The aim of this work is the study of algebraic-geometric codes from a dual perspective. On the one hand, the fundamental notions of Coding Theory are introduced inorder to understand the role played by them in communication and the need to constructcodes which, with the minimum possible redundancy, have the capacity of correcting alarge number of errors. On the other hand, the basic concepts of algebraic curves thatallow the construction of the codes under study are presented, starting from the idea ofthe generalization of a classical family of codes
