AB Los indicadores económicos señalan que el turismo refuerza en gran medida la actividad económica regional. El objetivo de este artículo es, en primer lugar, identificar desde una perspectiva cuantitativa las principales comarcas turísticas de Galicia. En segundo lugar, se realizará un análisis estadístico para justificar la concentración de la actividad turística en algunas zonas de la Comunidad Autónoma gallega. Entre otros temas, se estableció si las comarcas de la costa tienen más actividad turística que las del interior, si las del sur de Galicia tienen una mayor actividad turística que las del norte, si las de la costa de las "Rías Baixas" muestran una mayor actividad turística que las de las "Rías Altas", si existe una relación positiva entre el turismo y la actividad económica en las comarcas de Galicia y si existe una relación positiva entre la actividad turística y su población residente. Este estudio finaliza con una serie de conclusiones a partir de los resultados presentados.
AB The economic indicators point out that tourism strengthens to a large extent the regional economic activity. The aim of this article is firstly identify from a quantitative perspective the main touristic regions of Galicia. Secondly, it will be performed a statistical analysis to justify the concentration of the tourist activity in certain areas in Galicia. Among other issues, it will be established if the regions of the coast have more tourist activity than the interior regions, if the regions of the South of Galicia have a greater tourist activity than the ones of the North, if the regions of the coastline of “Rias Baixas” show a greater tourist activity than the regions of “Rias Altas”, if there is a positive relationship between tourist and economic activity in Galicia’s regions and if there is a positive relationship between the touristic activity by regions and their level of population. This study finalizes with a set of conclusions from the results presented.
