AB This thesis deals with metal and metal-dielectric magnetoplasmonic (MP)multilayers, which combine noble metals and ferromagnetic ones and exhibitinterrelated effects between the excitation of Surface Plasmon-Polaritons (SPPs) andtheir magnetooptical (MO) activity. Moreover, these MP systems have been used astransducers in sensing applications.
