AB Este artículo aborda el modo en que los procónsules de la Bética contribuyeron a consolidar el poder imperial en su provincia y la comunicación entre el emperador y las comunidades provinciales a inicios del Principado. En concreto, analizo diferentes epígrafes que muestran su intervención en dos aspectos importantes: el desarrollo y difusión de manifestaciones provinciales de lealtad hacia el emperador y sufamilia, y la consolidación de las dinámicas administrativas imperiales
AB This paper deals with the way in which the proconsuls of Baetica contributed to consolidate imperial power in their province and the communication between the Emperor and provincial communities in the Early Principate. Particularly, I analyze different inscriptions showing the involvement of proconsuls in two important themes: the development of provincial manifestations of loyalty towards the Emperor and his family, and the strengthening of the imperial administrative dynamics
