AB Este artículo estudia el problema de la relación entrecrisis y migraciones desde el punto de vista de las mujeres. Esta reflexiónse hace utilizando la información disponible para Galicia en el siglo XVIII;este territorio se caracterizaba por una intensa emigración masculina, condos variantes: la migración estacional o de corta duración a Castilla y lapolianual o de media duración a Portugal y Andalucía. Para estudiar suimpacto sobre las mujeres, este trabajo se divide en dos partes: a) en laprimera se observan las crisis familiares que ocasionaba la muerte del maridoausente o su abandono voluntario de la familia, y se plantean las solucionesposibles; b) en la segunda, la atención se centra en las mujeres solteras quese vieron en la necesidad de emigrar para resolver sus crisis personales, esdecir, aquellos momentos en los que ellas tuvieron que tomar una decisiónpara resolver su propio futuro.
AB This paper studies the problem of the relationship betweencrisis and migrations from the women’s point of view. This reflection is done using the information available to Galicia in the 18th Century. This territorywas characterized by intense male migration, with two variants: seasonalor short-term migration to Castile and the multiyear or medium-term toPortugal and Andalusia. In order to study its impact on women, this paperis divided into two parts: a) firstly, the focus is on family crisis that causedwhether the death of the absentee husband or the voluntary abandonmentof the family, and proposing the different choices; b) secondly, the aim isto study those single women who were in the need to migrate in order tosolve their personal crisis, that is to say, those times when they had to makea decision to solve their own future.
