AB Conocer, enseñar y educar no significan lomismo. Para enseñar, además de conocer,hemos de conseguir que el educando hagacosas para que llegue a conocer y actuar. Paraeducar hemos de dar un paso más allá, porquehay enseñanzas que no educan: tenemosque valorar cada medio que utilizamos comoeducativo y ajustarlo a los rasgos inherentes alsignificado de educar. El objetivo de conocer esllegar a saber, el objetivo de enseñar es hacersaber y actuar a otro. El objetivo de educar esconseguir que el educando se capacite paradecidir y realizar sus proyectos y se convierta enagente actor y autor de estos. Este artículo pretende la formación de criteriosobre el significado de ‘educación’ y laimportancia de la Pedagogía en la construcciónde ámbitos de educación. El conocimiento dela educación hace posible la construcción deámbitos de educación con las áreas culturales.El significado de educación es la conjunciónde carácter y sentido pedagógicos. El carácterdetermina el significado, el sentido cualifica elsignificado.
AB Knowing, teaching and educating do not meanthe same thing. To teach, in addition to knowing,we have to get the student to do things so thathe gets to know and act. To educate we have togo one step further, because there are teachingsthat do not educate: we have to value eachmedium that we use as educational and adjustit to the characteristics inherent in the meaningof educating. The objective of knowing is to getto know, the objective of teaching is to make thatthe educatee knows and acts. The objective ofeducating is to get the educatee to be able todecide and carry out their projects and becomean agent, actor and author, of those projects.This article looks for the formation of criteriaabout the meaning of “education” and theimportance of Pedagogy for the constructionof educational fields. Knowledge of educationmakes it possible the creation of educationalfields by means of cultural areas. The meaningof education is the conjunction of pedagogicalcharacter and sense. The character determinesthe meaning, the sense gives it quality.
