AB La tesis del fin del arte es una de las más controvertidas que se han manejado en el ámbito de laEstética. Hegel sentó las bases del asunto cuando impartió sus Lecciones sobre estética a lo largo dela década de 1820. Desde entonces, numerosos autores han abordado la cuestión para realizar susparticulares indagaciones en torno al supuesto acabamiento del arte. Este trabajo pretende, enprimer lugar, presentar la línea de argumentación hegeliana y sus implicaciones a partir de la mismay de las diversas interpretaciones que otros autores han hecho de ella. En relación con ello,resaltaremos también la labor de Arthur C. Danto, con su obra Después del fin del arte, para enfocarel planteamiento que nos concierne desde una perspectiva más actual. En segundo lugar,intentaremos ilustrar dicha tesis en relación a la evolución del arte de la pintura hacia elInformalismo. Por fin, en las conclusiones, intentaremos posicionarnos en relación al asunto.¿Realmente puede hablarse de la muerte del arte?
AB A tese do fin da arte é unha das máis controvertidas que se manexaron no ámbito da Estética.Hegel sentou as bases do asunto cando impartiu as súas Leccións sobre estética ao longo dadécada de 1820. Desde entón, numerosos autores abordaron a cuestión para realizar as súasparticulares indagacións en torno ao suposto acabamento da arte. Este traballo pretende, enprimeiro lugar, presentar a liña de argumentación hegeliana e as súas implicacións a partir damesma e das diversas interpretacións que outros autores fixeron dela. Por iso resaltaremos tamén olabor de Arthur C. Danto, coa súa obra Despois do fin da arte, para enfocar a formulación que nosinteresa desde unha perspectiva máis actual. En segundo lugar, tentaremos ilustrar dita tese enrelación á evolución da arte da pintura cara a o Informalismo. Por fin, nas conclusións, tentaremosposicionarnos en relación ao asunto. Realmente pode falarse da morte da arte?
AB The thesis of the end of art is one of the most controversial theses that have been dealt with in thefield of Aesthetics. Hegel laid the foundations of the issue when he gave his Lessons on Aesthetics inthe 1820s. Since then, numerous authors have approached the question in order to carry out theirown particular enquiries into the supposed completion of art. This paper aims, firstly, to present the Hegelian line of argument and its implications based on it and the various interpretations that otherauthors have made of it. We will therefore also highlight the work of Arthur C. Danto, with his workAfter the End of Art, in order to approach the idea that concerns us from a more contemporaryperspective. Secondly, we will try to illustrate this thesis in relation to the evolution of the art ofpainting towards Informalism. Finally, in the conclusions, we will try to position ourselves inrelation to the question: can we really speak of the death of art?
