AB The experimental results presented in this Doctoral Thesis shedlight on the versatility and promising potential of cell-derivednanovesicles as a novel platform for addressing key challengesin modern medicine, ranging from targeted drug delivery togene therapy. The exploration of cellsomes' biomimeticproperties has demonstrated their capacity as innovativenanocarriers for molecules and drugs, as well as advancedbiomimetic coating for other types of nanoparticles,capitalizing both on their tissue-specific targetingcapabilities and on the possibility to engineer thesenanocarriers to enhance the intracellular delivery.
