RT Dissertation/Thesis T1 Novel Switching Magnetic Materials: From Complexes to Hybrids A1 Sabater Algarra, Yolanda K1 spin crossover K1 single ion magnet K1 bistability K1 magneto-structural K1 graphene AB In this doctoral thesis, novel synthetic methodologies areestablished for obtaining bistable magnetic materials, includingspin crossover compounds and single ion magnets. Theseinsights have paved the way for designing and fabricatinggraphene hybrids by incorporating switchable molecules viacovalent functionalization. A variety of physicochemicaltechniques have been employed to precisely evaluate magnetostructuralcorrelations and identify functional groups ongraphene. These results open the route for a wider range ofapplications involving barocalorics, data storage, orspintronics, among others.
