AB This doctoral thesis is divided in three principal chapters. The first one looks for a status quo from an ecological view. It treats general aspects: epistemology; the interpretation that the different cultures do of the linguo-diversity; the both positions of the linguistics faced by the decrease of the number of languages; and the dangerous relation between economy and linguistics. The second chapter is centred on the category of linguistic right, treating it from an ethical perspective. The relation between linguistics and philosophy determines the elaboration of an ethics of the languages. In this chapter we present the treatment that was traditionally made to the linguistic rights. We also talk about our paradigm, where it is included our principal hypothesis. Finally, in the third chapter we elaborate a proposal of linguistic planning for concrete language, in this case the Galician. The model of normalization respects the ethic principles mentioned above, and even it is based on two fundamental aspects: the elaboration of a standar academic agreed by consensus, and the social diffusion of a qualit language.
