RT Journal Article T1 Sustainable university entrepreneurship: revisiting firm growth patterns A1 Fernández López, Sara A1 Rodeiro-Pazos, David A1 Rodríguez-Gulías, María Jesús A1 Nogueira Moreiras, Manuel Anxo K1 Firm growth K1 Panel data K1 Quantile methods K1 Sustainable entrepreneurship K1 University spin-offs AB Previous research on the firm growth of the university spin-offs (USOs) and itsdrivers yields inconclusive results. Recently, the literature on the high-growth firms(HGFs) has relied on regression quantile methods to study how the effects of growthdeterminants may differ along the firm growth distribution. This study builds a bridgebetween the two strands of literature by exploring how firm-specific characteristicsmay shape sales and employment growth patterns of USOs. To this end, it appliespanel data quantile regression models in a sample of 531 Spanish USOs over theperiod of 2001–2013. The results show that the growth drivers not only differbetween employment growth and sales growth but also along the growthdistributions PB Wiley YR 2021 FD 2021 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10347/29055 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10347/29055 LA eng NO Business Strategy and the Environment, 31(4), 1334–1346. https://doi.org/10.1002/bse.2957 DS Minerva RD 24 abr 2026
