RT Journal Article T1 Use of hatch date for broiler breeder production planning A1 Vandenberghe Cunin, Nathalie Charlotte A1 Ceular Villacé, Ángel Luis A1 Moreno, A. K1 Broiler breeder K1 Production K1 Start of laying K1 Sexual maturity K1 Peak egg production AB Data on 109 batches of broiler breeders belonging to six strains and bred in conventional sheds were analyzed to determine the possible influence of natural day length cycle phase on age at start of laying, at sexual maturity, and at peak egg production. The dependence of these variables on date of hatching was characterized by polynomial regression analysis. The resulting equations constitute simple, novel empirical models that are in keeping with current theory on the effects of photoperiod on sexual maturation, and should facilitate production planning in broiler breeder farms PB Elsevier SN 0032-5791 YR 1999 FD 1999 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10347/24261 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10347/24261 LA eng NO Poultry Science, Volume 78, Issue 4, 1 April 1999, Pages 501-504 DS Minerva RD 28 abr 2026
