AB El documental interactivo y transmedia abre nuevas vías para representar la realidad y muestra un nivel de producción relevante en América Latina. Con proyectos de referencia internacional y centros de creación y formación consolidados, es necesario profundizar en el conocimiento de estos formatos con origen en la región. Esta investigación tiene por objetivo principal analizar el estado del documental interactivo y transmedia en América Latina en cuanto a modelos de producción, temáticas y estrategias de distribución, interacción y participación. El estudio se desarrolla en tres fases y se basa en una triangulación metodológica que nos permita un conocimiento más completo del objeto de estudio: mapeo de la producción, análisis de contenido y estudio de cinco casos seleccionados. Los resultados señalan una implicación relevante de las instituciones universitarias en el desarrollo del documental interactivo y transmedia, el predominio del formato webdoc y un relevante enfoque en el territorio, las comunidades próximas y la denuncia social.
AB Interactive and transmedia documentary opens new ways to represent reality and it shows a relevant level of production in Latin America. With international renowned projects and consolidated creation and training centers, it is necessary to deepen the knowledge of these formats arising in the region. The main objective of this research is to analyze the state of interactive and transmedia documentary in Latin America in terms of production models, themes, and distribution, interaction and participation strategies. The study is developed in three phases and is based on a methodological triangulation that allows a more complete knowledge of the object of study: production mapping, content analysis and five selected case studies. The results point to a relevant involvement of university institutions in the development of interactive and transmedia documentaries, the predominance of the webdoc format and a relevant focus on the territory, nearby communities and social denunciation
