AB En el contexto de las nuevas guerras, Nigeria se erige como una potencia energética (o Petro-Estado) y demográfica sin parangón, pero, paradójicamente, atraviesa una profunda crisis de legitimidad política que le impide posicionarse como el eje vertebrador y vanguardia en el continente africano. En el presente texto, y a través de la teoría crítica, se examinará, mediante la revisión del concepto bourdieusiano de Campo, cómo las asimetrías en este último, auspiciada por las relaciones transnacionales, originan una privación del desarrollo del país totalmente consensuada por las élites, que a su vez confluye en la incipiente radicalización de la sociedad nigeriana, génesis de numerosos actos de terrorismo. Ello supone un dique de contención en la tan ansiada reconstrucción de esta legitimidad política, que permitiría a Nigeria jugar un rol preponderante como faro de África pero también en la escena internacional.In the context of the new wars, Nigeria emerges as an energetic and demographic power (or Petro-State), but, paradoxically, it is going through a deep crisis of political legitimacy that prevents it from positioning itself as the vertebral axis and vanguard in the African continent. In the present study, and through critical theory, it will be examined, through the revision of the Bourdieusian concept of Field, how the asymmetries in the latter originate a deprivation of the country's development totally consensual by the elites, which, in turn converges in the incipient radicalization of the Nigerian society, genesis of numerous acts of terrorism. This represents a dam to the long-awaited reconstruction of this political legitimacy, which would allow Nigeria to play a leading role as a beacon of Africa but also on the international scene.
