AB This thesis presents the measurement of prompt charged particleproduction in proton-lead and proton-proton collisions at the nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energy of 5.02TeV inthe LHCb experiment. Double-differential cross-sections of prompt charged particles are determined in the twosystems as a function of pseudorapidity (eta) and transverse momentum (pT) with respect to the proton beam.
