The sample was recruited from the Portuguese League Against Cancer by 10trained psychologists who assessed the quality of life and sexual satisfaction of the participants. Dataon the sociodemographic variables, diagnosis and treatment in the female participants, relationshipwith their partner, anxiety and depression, and body image were also collected. It was found that76.6% and 54.2% of the women had low physical and mental health, respectively, while 100% ofpartners had acceptable physical and mental health. The predictors of women’s physical healthwere months since surgery, current treatment, completed treatments, satisfaction with the currentrelationship with their partner, lower anxiety and depression, and better body image. The predictorsof women’s mental health were months since diagnosis and treatment completion, satisfaction withpartner support during the illness, lower anxiety and depression, and better body image. Thepredictors of both physical and mental health of partners were lower anxiety and depression. Inaddition, 88.4% of women and 100% of partners presented with sexual dysfunction. The predictors ofwomen’s sexual satisfaction were being older, satisfaction with their relationship with their partnerbefore the illness, lower anxiety and depression, and better body image. The predictors of sexualsatisfaction of the male partners were psychological/psychiatric support, satisfaction with theircurrent relationship with their partner, and lower anxiety and depression. These findings suggestthat interventions targeted at the quality of life of women and sexual satisfaction with a coupleperspective are needed PB MDPI YR 2022 FD 2022 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10347/30812 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10347/30812 LA eng NO Martins, R.; Otero, P.; Torres, Á.J.; Vázquez, F.L.
