AB En este trabajo se testa empíricamente la validez de una propuestade variables contextuales que integran el ecosistema para el estudio delemprendimiento tecnológico (ET). Aplicando la metodología de datos de panelen una muestra de 65 países durante el periodo 2006-2013, los resultadosmuestran que factores como el financiamiento no convencional informal, laexistencia de emprendedores referentes o el soporte tecnológico influyenpositivamente en la creación de Nuevas Empresas de Base Tecnológica (NEBT).Por el contrario, el conocer a un emprendedor y el tamaño del mercadoinfluyen negativamente. Estos últimos resultados, contrarios a lo que abundaen la literatura centrada en emprendimiento en general, ponen de manifiesto lanecesidad de mantener una propuesta de ecosistema, y por tanto de factores,diferenciada para el ET
AB In this work, the validity of a set of context variables belonging to theecosystem of the technological entrepreneurship (TE) is empirically tested.Applying panel data methodology in a sample of 65 countries during the period2006-2013, the results show that factors such as informal non-conventionalfinancing, the existence of referent entrepreneurs or technological supportpositively influence the creation of New Technology-Based Firms (NTBF).Conversely, knowing an entrepreneur and the market size have a negativeinfluence on the creation of NTBFs. These findings, contrary to what isabundant in the literature on entrepreneurship, show the need to maintain adifferentiated ecosystem proposal for the TE.
