AB Digitalismo, mundialización, sociedades del conocimiento y civilización científico-técnica son conceptos que inciden, sin lugar a dudas, en la educación en el marco general de la globalización. Los efectos de la nueva economía están sometidos a análisis, actualmente, pero es indudable que la innovación y la competitividad en un mundo globalizado, así como el uso de las nuevas tecnologías, están afectando a los procesos educativos. La tecnología digital plantea nuevos retos a la educación desde la perspectiva de la globalización. En este artículo se hace una aproximación a ese reto, atendiendo a los siguientes apartados: Sociedad mundializada y sociedades del conocimiento; Respuesta glocal y formación; Competencia técnica y organización; Condicionantes del éxito en la nueva situación de aprendizaje; y Estrategias tecnológicas y formación continua
AB Digitalism, globalisation, knowledge society, and scientific and technical civilisation are concepts that undoubtedly have a bearing on education in the general framework of globalisation. The effects of the new economy are currently under analysis, but there is no doubt that innovation and competitiveness in a globalised world, as well as the use of new technologies, are affecting educational processes. Digital technology poses new challenges for education from the standpoint of globalisation. This article contains an approach to that challenge, focusing on the following sections: Globalised society and knowledge societies; Global response and training; Technical competence and organisation; Determinants of success in the new learning situation; Technological strategies and lifelong learning
