RT Dissertation/Thesis T1 Technical pathway to the sustainabilyty of our seas to facilitate a regenerative world: Resources and waste, food and enjoyment A1 García Rellán, Adriana K1 Regenerative economy K1 Marine Environment K1 Best Available Techniques K1 Material and Energy Flow Analysis K1 Plastics AB This thesis analyses human activities around the sea using a lifecycle approach for the identification of sustainabletechniques to facilitate the path towards a regenerativeeconomy. The first part deals with the sector of fish and seafoodindustry, the second part deals with activities related to thefishing sector, and the third analyses activities in the marineenvironment as a place of enjoyment. Material and energy flowanalyses allows to identify impacts of resources andwastes, and Best Available Techniques are proposed. Chapter 9is dedicated to plastics in the sea related to all theprevious activities, including dynamic analysis of flows andstocks, through modelling that predicts trends in the behaviourof these compounds.
