Abstract

Magnetic nanoparticles are encapsulated within hollow carbon nanofibers. The density and orientation of the guest Mn3O4 nanoparticles depend crucially on the internal structure of the host carbon nanocontainer, which enables tuning functional magnetic properties of the composite material.
