Diversificación de carteras socialmente responsables en México

Abstract

El presente estudio trata de aportar más valor a la inversión socialmente responsable a través del análisis de las ponderaciones de carteras en las que se incluyen el índice S&P/BMV Total México ESG, un índice de responsabilidad social corporativa mexicano, y materias primas como el petróleo y el oro. Para llevar a cabo este estudio, se emplearon los modelos DCC-GARCH que permiten estimar las volatilidades y las correlaciones condicionales dinámicas entre pares de acciones que contengan el SPBMV. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que la materia prima más adecuada para la cobertura de riesgo es el oro.

The present study aims to add value to socially responsible investment through the analysis of portfolio weights that include the S&P/BMV Total Mexico ESG Index, a mexican corporate social responsibility index, and commodities such as oil and gold. To curry out this study, DCC-GARCH models were uded, which allow for the estimation of volatilities and dynamic conditioanl correlations between pairs of stocks that include the SPBMV. The results obtained show the most suitable commodity for risk hedging is gold.
