Abstract
In these years of conflict Galicia played a key strategic role. And not just because in Galicia from much wolfram ore in the Iberian Peninsula was mined. German control of this area have led to the routes to southern Europe and Africa had been completely broken for the Allies. Information services Axis and Allies knew what they were playing with the control of this territory. Established intelligence networks used according to their interests fairly common information. Port traffic control, coastal surveillance, relations with the maquis, possibilities of German and/ or allied invasions, evasion networks initiated and reused... And wolfram. Parts of this puzzle are sometimes placed the attack but always on the defensive, depending on who was winning the game on the global stage of the war, and which was the attitude of the Franco Governement.
