Petroglifo galaico con una representación de tipo Peña Tú

Abstract

Se analiza un petroglifo recientemente descubierto en el ayuntamiento de Teo (A Corufia) que además de contener representaciones comunes en el grupo galaico de arte rupestre (combinaciones circulares y un zoomorfo), exhibe en su parte central un motivo cuadrangular segmentado acompañado de una daga. La última representación vincula esta estación rupestre con otros conjuntos del norte de España, encuadrados en el grupo esquemático, entre los cuales el más conocido es el de Peña Tú (Asturias). Su datación corresponderá al Calcolítico final o los inicios de la Edad del Bronce

We deal with a recently discovered open air carving, at the council of Teo (La Corunna) where besides the usual themes found in the Galician art group (circular combinations, animal), a square motif, internally segmented, occupies the center of the surface, together with a dagger. The latter strongly resembles other representations found in North Iberia, namely Peña Tú (Asturias), belonging to the Schematic group of Iberian postpaleolithic art. Its chronology would span from the end of the Copper Age to the initial Bronze Age
