Abstract
fundamental
This article aims to explain the model of coexistence between languages set in the 1978 Spanish Constitution and analyze how that model has been infringed in the autonomous regions in which, besides the common Spanish language, there is also a vernacular language. Progressively, language policies developed in these communities have been leading to a growth of the vernacular monolingualism in teaching and institutions, that clearly violates the provisions of our fundamental law
