Abstract

Multiple simultaneous exposures to electromagnetic signals induce adjustments at the brain in the mammalians. In this study we investigated the non-thermal SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) for in vivo rats exposed to multiple electromagnetic (EM) field signals at 900 and 2450 MHz and 2 W of power. The 1g mean SAR values on brain and whole body of the rat were estimated from experimental power measurements, with the aid of an FDTD software tool. After radiation, we use the Enzyme-Linked Inmuno Sorbent Assay (ELISA) technique, we studied cellular stress levels of heat shock protein (HSP) 70 and pre-apoptotic activity caspase-3-dependent on brain. Twenty-four hours after irradiation, the levels given protein HSP 70 and caspase-3 in animals exposed to one or more frequencies showed significant differences in both hemispheres (right and left) on the cerebral cortex animals. Multifrequency radiation causes acute changes on the brain
