Abstract
Los ftalatos son un grupo de productos químicos utilizados como plastificantes en
adhesivos, recubrimientos, especialmente en la fabricación cloruro de polivinilo. El 2,6-
di-terc-butil-4-metilfenol es un antioxidante sintético procedente de la industria
petrolífera utilizado como un aditivo alimentario. El 4-metoxicinamato de 2-etilhexilo es
un filtro ultravioleta empleado como ingrediente activo en la formulación de productos
cosméticos para la protección solar. Estos analitos a estudiar migran fácilmente hacia el
medio ambiente, siendo por ello de interés su determinación en muestras acuosas
medioambientales.
Todos los compuestos de interés tienen varias aplicaciones, se añaden como aditivos a
determinados productos, como adhesivos, como antioxidantes, son sintetizados a gran
escala es por eso, por lo que se ha empezado a legislar su comercialización, fabricación y
el uso de determinadas sustancias. La Unión Europea ha legislado los ftalatos fijando un
límite restrictivo para el ftalato de di-2-etilhexilo en diferentes aguas continentales en la
Directiva 2013/39/UE, mientras que el 2,6-di-tect-butil-4-metilfenol y el 4-
metoxicinamato de 2-etilhexilo se han incluido en una lista de observación según la
Decisión 2015/495/UE.
Se ha desarrollado un método simple, rápido y eficiente, basado en extracción en fase
sólida y determinación mediante cromatografía de gases acoplada a espectrometría de
masas en tándem, presentando este método recuperaciones satisfactorias para todos los
compuestos estudiados.
Phthalates are a group of chemical products used as plasticizers in adhesives, coatings, especially in the manufacture of polyvinyl chloride. 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol this compounds is a synthetic antioxidant from the oil industry used as a food additive. The 2-ethylhexyl-4-methoxicinnamate is an ultraviolet filter used as an active ingredient in the formulation of cosmetic products for sun protection. These analytes to be studied2 migrate easily to the environment, for this, it is important their determination in environmental aqueous samples. All the compounds to study present different applications, can be added as additives to certain products, as adhesives, as antioxidants, among other applications. They are synthesized on a large scale, for this, new legislation about the marketing, manufacture and use these type of compounds has been developed. The European Union has legislated for phthalates since they had their greatest peak, setting a restrictive limit for di-2- ethylhexyl phthalate in different continental waters in Directive 2013/39/UE, while for 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol and 2-ethylhexyl-4-metoxicinnamate they have been included in an observation list according to Decision 2015/495/UE. A simple, fast and efficient method based on solid phase extraction and determination by gas chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry has been developed, allowing satisfactory recoveries of around 100% for all the compounds studied.
