Arqueología cognitiva del simbolismo

Abstract

El Diccionario de la Real Academia Española define Arte como «Manifestación de la actividad humana mediante la cual se interpreta lo real o se plasma lo imaginado con recursos plásticos, lingüísticos o sonoros». ¿Cuales son, por tanto, las implicaciones de manifestar, de actividad, de plasmar? ¿Cuáles las de real, imaginario o lingüístico? ¿Qué es humano? Éstas cuestiones relacionadas las abordaremos en la presente memoria para intentar esclarecer la naturaleza, intención y finalidad de expresiones gráfica de la prehistoria que han llegado a nosotros con la denominación de arte y que suponen un paradigma para la proyección, estudio y conocimiento del género Homo y su huella a lo largo del tiempo. Determinar qué información podemos obtener de ellas, más allá de las evidencias directas, mediante el estudio cognitivo de diversos hallazgos será el hilo conductor del trabajo con el fin de esclarecer qué suponía para las comunidades relacionadas con los hitos a estudiar así como las capacidades e implicaciones inherentes al hecho mismo de establecer una determinada impronta. Para cumplir éste objetivo, centraremos el análisis en un patrón ideomorfo geométrico formado por líneas paralelas entrecruzadas o rejilla que ha ido depurándose y variando su morfología a lo largo del tiempo y del espacio del mismo modo que su significado.

The Dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy defines Art as "Manifestation of human activity through which what is real is interpreted or what is imagined is captured with plastic resources, either linguistic or sound". Therefore, what are the implications of manifesting, of activity, of capturing? Which ones are real, imaginary or linguistic? What is human? We will address these related matters in this report to try and clarify the nature, intention and purpose of graphic expressions from prehistory that have come to us with the name of art and that represent a paradigm for the projection, study and knowledge of the genre Homo and its footprint over time. Determining what information we can obtain from them, beyond direct evidence, through the cognitive study of various findings, will be the guiding thread of the work in order to clarify what it meant for the communities related to the milestones to be studied as well as the inherent capacities and implications to the very fact of establishing a certain imprint. To fulfill this objective, we will focus the analysis on a geometric ideomorphic pattern formed by crisscrossed parallel lines or grid that has been refined and varying its morphology over time and space, as well as its meaning.
