Abstract
The discovery of new structure-activity relationships represents a promising avenue for designing innovative materials and understanding the principles governing biological processes. Nevertheless, advances in this field have been limited by current methodologies used in the preparation of polymeric structures. In this context, dynamic covalent chemistry emerges as a valuable tool for developing highly adaptable materials. This thesis aims to bridge these two concepts. By employing a dendrimer and a dendritic block copolymer as bricks, and the fast-forming and strong boronate bond as cement, a novel technology has been developed for constructing bioactive materials with implications in drug delivery, gene therapy, and the fabrication of artificial cells.
