Abstract

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo estudiar la representación idealizada de la mujer triste o deprimida en el mundo del arte en el siglo XIX y en el XXI. En primer lugar, analizaremos los arquetipos de mujer perfecta desde la perspectiva del hombre del siglo XIX, creados desde círculos intelectuales como los prerrafaelitas, y cómo estos afectaron a las representaciones artísticas femeninas. En la segunda parte, nos trasladaremos hasta la actualidad para observar cómo ha evolucionado este ideal en el cine, la televisión, la música y la moda, y la manera en la que ha sido, en cierto sentido, reapropiado por ellas mismas, sobre todo en comunidades online. El objetivo es intentar determinar si ha sido posible un cambio sustancial de los ideales decimonónicos machistas en esta nueva ola de tristeza femenina.

Na segunda parte, trasladarémonos ata a actualidade para observar como foi evolucionando este ideal no cine, a televisión, a música e a moda, e a maneira na que foi, en certo sentido, reapropiado por elas mesmas, sobre todo en comunidades online. O obxectivo e intentar determinar se foi posible un cambio substancial dos ideais decimonónicos machistas nesta nova ola de tristura feminina.

This work aims to study the idealized representation of the sad or depressed woman in art in the 19th and 21st centuries. In the first place, we will analyze the archetypes of the perfect woman from the perspective of the 19th century man, created in intellectual circles like the pre-Raphaelites, and how these affected the female artistic representations. In the second part, we will move to the present to observe how this ideal has evolved in cinema, television, music and fashion, and the way it has been reappropriated by women themselves, especially in online communities. The objective is to try to determine if a substantial change of sexist nineteenth-century ideals has been possible in this new wave of female sadness.
