The application of managerial innovation in protected areas. Intercontinental comparative study

Abstract

The main question of this academic thesis is: Do the protected areas apply to the managerial innovation techniques? The main objective of this PhD thesis is to explain the relationship between the managerial innovation techniques application and protected areas through an example, describing the internal management system that applies in protected areas. In other words, does the manager apply the old management style more, (give orders, orient, direct, have the last word.) or does he/she try to put employees within management, taking their opinions into account, and developing them as important human capital.
