Petroglifos gallegos, una perspectiva desde el siglo XXI

Abstract

A lo largo de las décadas la bibliografía ha dado diferentes visiones sobre los petroglifos galaicos buscando encuadrar y entender este fenómeno artístico. En los últimos años, se ha asistido a un aumento notable del corpus de estaciones y se han abordado diferentes temas, desde los análisis de tipo espacial hasta la aplicación de las nuevas tecnologías, así como los acercamientos a la tan controvertida cuestión de la cronología. Presentamos aquí de modo sintético una perspectiva general sobre el conocimiento actual del arte rupestre al aire libre en el conjunto del territorio gallegoThroughout the decades different views about the Galician petroglyphs has been put forward by the researchers in regard to the context and significance of this artistic phenomenon. In recent years, there has been a notable increase in the corpus of carved sites and different topics have been addressed, from spatial analysis to the application of new technologies, as well as new approaches to the controversial issue of chronology. Therefore, it is presented in a synthetic way a general perspective about the current knowledge of open-air rock art in the whole Galician territory
