El mito de las yeguas lusitanas: una realidad simbólica liminar

Abstract

Propõ-se uma releitura do mito das éguas lusitanas na qual será defendida uma origem vinculada com a mitologia grega arcaica e os seus relatos simbólicos de carácter liminar. A partir da exposição das fontes disponíveis na atualidade para o seu estudo, realizar-se-á uma análise para evidenciar o relevo da transição homérica no devir do relato e a presença nela de certos elementos que nos levarão a discriminar no mito algumas influências procedentes de uma eventual tradição fenícia, difíceis de definir, mas que relacionaremos, como hipótese, com a sua cosmogoniaOur proposal is to read the myth of the Lusitanian mares again and prove that an origin linked to the ancient Greek mythology and its frontier symbolic stories can be defended. Starting from the exposition of the sources available for study nowadays, we will carry out an analysis that will show on the one hand, the importance of the Homeric tradition in the evolution of the story and on the other, the presence of some elements that will lead us to distinguish several influences from a possible Phoenician tradition. These influences are difficult to define, but we will relate them to their cosmogony by way of hypothesis
